Summary:
My partner and I plan to use the following examples of comics and images in our story by using the different styles and techniques. For the comics we plan on using the overlapping panel layouts and the tone setting color scheme, as well as dedicating whole pages to an illustration that shows the reader the setting or a big scene. The images are what will drive our comic, we want to focus on how water pollution impacts the wild life, and how it eventually ends up impacting the life of a living human being. Overall we want to show how water pollution can end life for all living things in an eye catching way in our comic.

The Rocketeer At War
My partner and I think the page layout from this comic is really interesting. When thinking about a stereotypical comic book we think of a boring box over box layout, but the way they layout this page and have an image in the back really catches the eye.
Star Wars: Annual
In this comic we really liked the color scheme, we thought it really fits the scene and the feel of everything that’s happening. Along with that the layout complements the scene amazingly and shows nice flow throughout the story.

Fantastic 4
So there isn’t much going on, in these two pages but what we liked about this is how there is a bigger scene going on behind the smaller boxes towards the bottom of the page and it looks really cool and eye catching when the pictures overlap into the boxes.

The Astonishing Ant Man
In this comic we really liked the picture towards the bottom, we thinks it looks really cool how two of the boxes are used to show one illustration, we definitely want to use this technique in our comic but we would use four boxes to make out one illustration.
Justice
Now this one captures everything we’ve already mentioned but all put into one comic. This one is probably our overall model, this is what we want to strive for, because this has overlapping, a bigger scene happening in the back while the picture itself is overlapping into other boxes.
Images relating to environmental issue:
We chose this photo of two dead birds covered in oil because it shows the effect oil spills have had on not only our eco-system but animals. There are multiple reasons as to why our water is polluted and oil spills is one of them.
This photo shows a seagull who died after consuming a variety of human trash left on the streets and/or ocean. Once again, littering is another reason why our water is polluted and is something that we need to start taking more seriously.

In this image you can see a turtle swimming in a school of trash bags, which were most likely drifted in from the land. Every piece of trash that humans drop eventually make it to the ocean, harming and endangering our marine life.

An ocean sewage pipe clogged up by piles of human filth. When sewage pipes get backed up, water run off has nowhere to go, flooding and and creating an even bigger mess.
